*During fiscal year 2023, we received 6,488 reports of marine mammals in potential distress. Additionally, our hotline fielded 17,010 calls, reflecting an increase of approximately 1,000 calls compared to the previous calendar year.

Thanks to your generosity, we are able to continue responding to Hawaiian monk seals on Hawai‘i Island and on Maui. By being out in the field, we are able to educate the public on the monk seals’ importance to Hawai‘i, assess their health and transport them to our hospital should they need care. All of these things are critical in the conservation of this species, and we are so grateful to have your support to be able to do them!

Thanks to your contributions, youth all over the country have grown their skills to advocate for our ocean. Their leadership will continue to make positive impacts for the health of our planet, inspiring hope in our staff, volunteers and visitors at the Center. Thank you for your support!

Our ocean is undergoing rapid change, and the conservation and protection of marine mammals has never been more important than now. There is a lot to learn in order to understand the effects of these changes, and because of your support we can conduct critical research and share that information through publications, education and outreach to further ocean conservation.

Every week I get to help rescue and care for sick and injured marine mammals. The animals get a second chance at life in the wild, and we get to learn from them how to take better care of our ocean. Everyone benefits, and we couldn’t do any of it without your help. Thank you so much.
